HBP Scientific Director at Falling Walls Circle on Artificial Intelligence

    HBP Scientific Research Director Katrin Amunts held the first impulse statement on “AI in Science” in the Falling Walls Circle event held in Berlin on November 8th. 

    The “Falling Walls Circle” in Berlin, Germany, is an international round-table meeting that connects leaders from science, business and politics who tackle crucial issues and emerging themes in and beyond science strategy. The yearly invitation-only event brings together 60 key decision-makers.

    The overall theme of the Falling Walls Circle 2018 on November 8 was Human Genius in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.

    Participants explored the role of exceptional human minds in breakthrough ideas, and the ways in which human performance might be complemented, rivalled, or outdone by the emergence of AI.

    HBP Scientific Research Director Katrin Amunts held the first impulse statement on “AI in Science”.

    It was followed by perspectives on AI in business, policy, society and media.
