How to share

The HBP invites submissions of high quality data for public sharing via the HBP neuroinformatics platform. We welcome data describing specific morphological, physiological or behavioural aspects of mouse, rat, primate or human brains. The data must be collected in compliance with EU regulations on ethical conduct and GDPR. The data will be hosted in the HBP infrastucture and undergo a stepwise curation process to establish and validate:

- Basic metadata needed for provenance tracking and making data discoverable thorugh search in the HBP Knowledge Graph
- Location metadata defining the location of data in a standard anatomical reference atlas
- Domain-specific metadata necessary to make data interpretable and possible to reuse

Further details about the data curation process are found here.

The HBP offers data management and storage for non-HBP data, and will strive to include as many data sets as possible. Comprehensive and well-organised data sets of particular scientific value will be prioritised. Requests will be evaluated monthly (1st day of the month) and response will be given within two weeks.
