New Horizons in Clinical Neuroscience: Brain Medicine for Non-Specialists
July 5, 2017 – July 7, 2017
The aim of this interactive workshop is to deepen and complete the online course on brain medicine for non-specialists with the most recent advances in research of neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders.
Lectures and tutorials by international experts will report the state of the art of research and treatment of brain diseases. Representatives of the Allen Institute for Brain Science (AI; USA) and the Human Brain Project (HBP; Europe) will present novel avenues for exploiting large biological datasets for future classification of brain diseases, which may lead to new strategies for developing therapeutics. Hands-on examples for using the tools developed by the Allen Institute and the HBP will be made available.
The workshop is open to the whole student community and early post-docs upon application. Applications from young female researchers are highly encouraged.
Last minute registration is possible!
