    On October 17, 2017 the Human Brain Project held its 2nd annual Open Day in Glasgow.  Below are a selection of images taken on the day.

    Bjoern Kindler of the Neuromorphic Platform explains to visitors the workings of the BrainScaleS wafer and how it runs on spiking neural networks that mimic the brain.

    HBP Science Director Katrin Amunts shows Glasgow University Vice Chancellor Prof Sir Anton Muscatelli the 3D polarized light microscopy used to reveal the brain's fibre architecture.
